"You're A Ghost, I'm Ten" is episode number 73 of Threedom. It was released on Wed, 03 Mar 2021.


Synopsis[edit]

Scott, Paul & Lauren discuss having lots of siblings, Beanie Babies and combs, before playing The Picnic Game.

Act One[edit]

The Threedom Boys start out talking about Claudia Conway on American Idol and they discuss different singing experiences in choir and church. Paul talks about having a bad cough as a child and they mention different money dynamics within families. They discuss having lots of siblings or lots of children and Lauren talks about what it was like growing up in Evanston and the architecture of the town. She wasn't allowed to have unframed posters or Got Milk ads on her wall as a kid. Paul talks about growing up with his 5 siblings and 7 cousins in neighboring duplexes in the area of Mount Airy, Philadelphia, and people assuming his neighborhood was dangerous. Helicopter song break. They discuss parents sheltering their kids from money troubles and Lauren clarifies that her room was very cute and had fun decorations even though she couldn't have posters. Scott says that his parents bought art prints from museums and Lauren jokes that they bought the Mona Lisa. Scott says the art ended up having value and they laugh and laugh because Paul mixed up who said what and thought they were selling a print of the Mona Lisa. Lauren had a large Beanie Baby collection but her mom sold some of them behind her back, and she wishes she had gotten in on the GameStop stock situation. Paul says hi to Kulap. They talk about collecting things, Lauren's collection of miniatures, hanging things on the wall, and TaskRabbit. Paul sings "knives to grind" from the song Who Will Buy, from Oliver.

Act Two[edit]

Lauren inquires about grinding knives and what you do when you need to throw out a knife, and The Pretzel Gang discusses different types of combs. Lauren passes along the information that you may not want to use a comb if you have wavy hair. Paul spices it up by saying he brushed Mary Lynn Rajskub's hair at a party while on ecstasy. The sun goes down and it becomes Threedom After Dark. They discuss snooping on their siblings, Scott's busy schedule as a college student, Amoeba Records' new location, and traveling to Japan.

Act Three[edit]

Scott, Paul, and Lauren take a second stab at playing The Picnic Game.

Rules[edit]

One player decides on a category of things that can be brought to their picnic. The guests start asking if they can bring specific things to the picnic and the organizer tells them whether or not they can come. They decide on the rule that if both players get rejected the organizer tells them something that they can bring. Eventually the players try to guess the category of things allowed at the picnic.

Synopsis[edit]

Lauren is the picnic organizer first. Paul and Lauren argue about how to pronounce Reese's Pieces. Scott guesses correctly that the category is crunchy things.

Paul is the picnic organizer and Lauren guesses the category is things that are green.

Scott picks the category and Paul guesses it, things that rhyme with "ate."
